Dimensions: 245x137 mm
Saddle weight with nack rail: 155 g
In 2013, the first saddles with CPC technology were launched. CPC technology is a patented system with three-dimensional conical nanostructures that increase grip and vibration absorption. Prologo decided to extend the 3D technology to the entire saddle and produce a new ultra-light model with an innovative multi-sector cover designed based on pressure test analysis.
The NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS has the same ergonomic T-shape and compact dimensions (245x137 mm) as the NAGO R4, a new multi-purpose saddle already used by several professionals such as Tadej Pogačar, Mark Cavendish, Geraint Thomas, Pello Bilbao and Alberto Bettiol.
DESIGNED BASED ON PRESSURE TEST ANALYSIS
The NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS was born from research into the Pressure Map MyOwn tests. The Pressure Map MyOwn test system is Prologo's own system that allowed for a scientific analysis of the pressure zones applied to the saddle by various professional and amateur cyclists.
Based on the data collected, it was possible to design and create an extremely lightweight 3D saddle, whose cover consists of separate sectors that best adapt to different pressure zones and ensure maximum support and comfort during all phases of pedaling.

3DMSS, FROM MULTI-SECTOR SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY TO 3D
The new NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS cover combines MSS - Multi Sector System technology with an innovative 3D printing process that allowed the creation of five separate sectors on each side of the saddle. These sectors optimally adapt to individual pressure zones and the cyclist's shape.
Each sector has different complex geometric shapes, varying densities, and different elasticity coefficients depending on location and function:
- the rear part has a high density and high modulus of elasticity, which provide better support for the sit bones and facilitate the traction phase of pedaling;
- the three middle sections have a low density and a medium elasticity coefficient, providing maximum comfort while resting the soft tissues;
- the front part has a medium density and a low elasticity coefficient, which provides good support even when you have to pedal from the tip of the saddle.
COMFORT AND PERFORMANCE, RECORD WEIGHT FOR A 3D SADDLE
Part of the design work also focused on improving the typical weakness of 3D saddles, their weight, which is notoriously higher than traditional saddles.
Using data from the Pressure Map MyOwn tests, it was possible to identify areas of the saddle where the applied pressure was lower. The protective parts in these areas are made with specific 3D geometric shapes, designed to limit the amount of material used without compromising comfort or the performance of the saddle.
The long-fiber carbon fiber base and Nack (Nano-Carbon Fiber) rail help to further reduce overall weight while ensuring maximum stiffness.
The result? The new NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS weighs just 155 grams. The absolute lowest weight compared to all 3D models on the market.
