The Restrap Downtube Bag is designed to increase carrying capacity by utilizing the "waste" space under the downtube. Especially useful for smaller frames and anyone who needs extra carrying capacity. The Downtube Bag adds 1.2 liters of fully waterproof storage space that is simply attached with Velcro; no separate attachment points are required.
The Downtube Bag features a fully waterproof construction and a roll top closure to keep the elements, road spray or trail debris where they belong. A single integrated Velcro strap wraps around the Downtube Bag and downtube, securing it securely in place and minimizing rattles and rattles. A stitched grip surface prevents the bag from slipping out of place. The bolt-free attachment means the Downtube Bag can be swapped from bike to bike in seconds.
While you can store whatever you want in the Downtube Bag, Restrap says it’s most useful for spare parts, tools, and heavier items. By storing them low and central, you maintain the bike’s natural center of gravity. This is also useful if you use a lift post on your bike and can’t store items under the saddle, or if your bike is bikepacking-equipped and you can’t keep a tool bag in the typical location.
The Downtube bag is designed to fit all bikes, from the thinnest steel tubes to downtubes with a circumference of 19 cm. There's nothing stopping you from being creative about where you place the bag: on the fork legs, seatpost or elsewhere.
Handmade in a Yorkshire workshop, the bags are finished with a classic Restrap label made from vegan-friendly PU.
