These gloves were used as gloves for cold rainy weather on the Ruska 2021 trip. The lining is warm and the optimal temperature for these is well below +10 °C. In warmer weather, at least my hands started to sweat and the gloves got wet on the inside because of it. In cold rainy weather, the fingers stay comfortably warm until the water started to soak into the gloves through the wet riding shirt under the Gore-Tex rain jacket. Even after that, it worked just fine, because the membrane did its job. Taking the gloves off when wet was a bit of a challenge, as the inner lining was about to come off with it. However, by pinching the fingertips, it stayed in place. Putting on wet gloves was also quite okay, but it didn't feel nice in temperatures a few degrees below. Drying the gloves when they get wet takes time, because there is quite a lot of lining.
+ warm
+ fits snugly
+ waterproof membrane works well, but this is not a diving glove
+ nice padding on the palm side
- waterproof membrane of course reduces breathability
- for the previous reason, you sweat if the temperature rises
- when it gets wet, you have to be careful when taking it off so that the inner glove doesn't come off/roll up
