Quick-release discs are quick to remove. Unfortunately, this also applies to theft, meaning they are easy to grab with a long fingernail. This axle replaces the quick-release.

When you add a separately purchased 5 mm Hexlox Allen key to the axle, your rear rim is protected from unauthorized removal attempts.
